Location: Rochester, NY | Anyone make their own wine at home, or have family/friends that do?
I've never tried it, but I remember as a kid, a friend of my parents used to make some wine that they really enjoyed. Also lots of Italian families seem to always have a batch working in the basement.
While I generally leave it to the experts, I'm kind of interested in learning a bit about the home wine-making process.

Location: San Francisco, CA | I'm in the same shoes. I've never made wine, but have always wanted to. I have some family that has done it in the past. They had some good, strong reds. They haven't done it for a while. |

| This give me a bit more incentive to clean out my garage. How much space do I need? |

| My grandfather has made wine for years. He makes it from these kits of concentrate, and most of it tastes pretty good. I am partial to the homemade Amarone |

Maybe we should visit the homebrew store here in the city. I hear it's pretty awesome! |
