Location: Rochester, NY | Very interesting concept -- a new line of cigars is on the market under the name Second Growth.
http://www.second-growth.com/
" Just as a master winemaker chooses only choice grapes from the harvest for blending into the finest Bordeaux wines from France, master tobacco blenders at the world renowned Tabadom cigar manufactory in the Dominican Republic, hand select only the finest leaves from their finishing cellars before passing their mix to rollers who artfully assemble Second Growth leaf by leaf ensuring each cigar delivers optimal flavor and combustion.
When paired with aforementioned Bordeaux blends and American meritage wines, Second Growth provides a perfectly synchronized flavor experience. While the wine delivers a mouth presence that originates from the back of the tongue majestically working its way forward through the palate. The rich fruit of the wine prepares the palate for the complex interplay of spice, leather and chocolate notes from this exceptional cigar. At 54 X 7 and 7/8ths inches long. Second Growth delivers for hours."
Also, the cigars are packaged in boxes hand made out of wine barrel staves. This is supposed to impart some of the wine's character to the cigars. |

Location: Maryland | I may be in the minority but I think a good heavy Bourdeaux or Cab is paried well with a decent cigar.

| Apparently there was a global launch party on May 26th. Someone from Cigargeeks said he was invited. Here is a link to the thread:

Location: Central VA | I can't imagine spending $650 for 20 cigars ... that would buy a lot of Oliva or Punch. Methinks these are for the connoisseur who smokes an occasional cigar and has money to burn, no? It does raise an interesting question about wine and tobacco though. I have found that it is not always easy to get a good pairing.

| I would never spend that kind of money on a cigar. I definitely love my cigars and wine, but that is ridiculous. |
